"Develop a PASSION for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow." -Anthony J. D'Angelo
8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 9 at 6:00 pm. The ceremony will be held at The Park Church, located at 6029 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216 (beside Hornet’s Nest Park). The parking lot will open at 5:00 pm, but we ask that you carpool as much as possible. Seating will be first come, first serve, yet families should only invite 3-4 guests since we have 600 students and seating is limited to approximately 2400 including the students. Finally, students will be released for pick-up at 12:00 noon following their end of year celebration on June 9 to allow for plenty of time to get dressed, take pictures and drive to the church in time for our prompt start at 6:00 pm.
Welcome to Mrs. Kickham's 8th grade Science class!
Let me take this opportunity to welcome you and your student to Bailey Middle School. Our students and staff continue to do an incredible job of raising the academic and behavioral expectations, and I am confident that we will climb even higher this year! I am honored and excited to work with your child this year, and I am committed to making every effort necessary for the success of your child and our school. The 2014-2015 school year looks to be a fantastic year at BMS!
This is an extremely exciting time to study science and its application outside of the classroom. The eighth grade science curriculum encompasses many different topics, all of which incorporate the necessary skills of critical thinking, problem solving, cooperative learning, and innovation. Students will be conducting experiments, analyzing data, and participating in hands-on activities in the classroom. I am very excited to be teaching 8th grade science again this year. Please feel free to e-mail me with questions and concerns.
